Turkish Airlines is set to increase its flight frequency to Lagos, introducing additional services to accommodate more passengers travelling between Nigeria and international destinations.

The airline’s revised schedule will take effect on December 11, 2026, with three extra flights each week on the Istanbul–Lagos route. The move will raise the number of weekly flights from seven to 10, giving travellers more options when booking their journeys.

The new services are scheduled for Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, expanding the airline’s capacity on one of its key Nigerian routes. Passengers travelling through Istanbul will also have more opportunities to connect to other destinations served by the carrier’s international network.

The expansion follows an earlier increase in flights on the airline’s Istanbul–Abuja route, which rose to seven weekly services in June 2026. The development highlights the airline’s continued investment in its Nigerian operations as demand for international travel grows.

With the additional flights, Turkish Airlines is expected to strengthen connections between Lagos and Istanbul while improving access to destinations across its global network. The expanded schedule could also benefit business travellers, tourists and other passengers seeking more flexible international travel arrangements.
