The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has increased its petrol gantry price to ₦1,350 per litre, marking the fourth upward adjustment by the refinery within 22 days.
The latest review represents an ₦85 increase from the previous rate of ₦1,265 per litre. Since August 21, the refinery’s petrol price has risen by ₦185, representing a 15.9 per cent increase.
The refinery had earlier raised its price from ₦1,165 to ₦1,185 per litre on August 21. It moved again to ₦1,200 on August 26 before increasing the rate to ₦1,265 on August 29.
The latest adjustment took effect on September 12 amid elevated international crude oil prices. Brent crude has recently traded above $100 per barrel, adding pressure to fuel costs.
Alongside the petrol increase, the refinery also reviewed its coastal delivery price from ₦1,669,545 to ₦1,783,530 per metric tonne.
The latest development is expected to influence pump prices as fuel marketers adjust their rates to reflect the higher cost of products supplied from the refinery.
