Adebayo Maoli, A 28-year-old Nigerian resident of Toronto, Canada, has been charged following allegations of sexual misconduct involving passengers on the city’s subway network.
The Toronto Police Service said the case involved two separate incidents reported at King and College subway stations on September 1 and October 3, 2026. Maoli is facing one count of sexual assault and two counts of committing an indecent act.
Investigators alleged that during the first incident, which occurred at approximately 3 p.m. on September 1, the accused exposed himself to two passengers aboard a southbound Toronto Transit Commission train at King Station. The passengers reportedly activated the train’s emergency alarm, prompting him to leave.
In the second incident, police alleged that Maoli followed a passenger who had alighted from a subway train at College Station shortly after midnight on October 3. According to investigators, the accused allegedly exposed himself to the passenger on an escalator before fleeing after being confronted.
The police said Maoli was scheduled to appear before the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on October 9, 2026. Investigators have also indicated that there could be additional victims and appealed to members of the public with relevant information to assist with the investigation.
