Every second brings Nigerians closer to exercising their democratic right and shaping the future of our nation.
Exercise your democratic right responsibly, peacefully and lawfully.
A group has called on people of Igbo extraction to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and take an active role in Nigeria’s democratic process ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group stressed that voter registration and PVC collection are essential steps towards ensuring that eligible citizens can participate in choosing their leaders. It urged residents across the South-East not to allow frustration with political developments to discourage them from exercising their voting rights.
According to the group, greater participation in elections would give people an opportunity to express their preferences through the ballot box and contribute to decisions affecting their communities and the country.
The appeal also highlights the importance of civic responsibility, particularly as political parties and aspirants begin preparations for the next election cycle. Eligible voters are encouraged to confirm their registration status and follow official electoral guidelines for collecting their cards.
As preparations for 2027 gather momentum, the group’s message centres on turning political concerns into lawful democratic participation. PVC collection, voter education and peaceful engagement remain important elements of the electoral process.
