The suspect, identified as Chidera Eleh, also known as Timaya, was arrested on October 9 following an intelligence-led operation by security personnel investigating criminal activities involving motorcycle-riding suspects.
Items recovered during the operation included a motorcycle, an axe and a cutlass. The police said the exhibits would form part of the ongoing investigation into the alleged crimes.
The command’s spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga, said detectives were continuing their investigation to determine the suspect’s role in the incidents and identify other possible accomplices.
The state Commissioner of Police, Nnanna Ama, reiterated the command’s determination to curb criminal activities and ensure the safety of residents. He also encouraged POS operators, commercial motorcyclists and other members of the public to report suspicious movements to security agencies.
