ABC Transport Plc is seeking approval for a proposed ₦6.5bn fundraising programme designed to provide additional financial resources for the company.

The transport company said its board had endorsed a funding arrangement combining a rights issue with a bond offer. The proposal will require shareholders’ approval before implementation.

Although the company has disclosed the overall amount it intends to raise, it has not yet released the detailed structure of the offer, including how much will come from each funding option.

The proposed exercise marks a planned move by the company to secure additional capital as it pursues its business objectives.

Meanwhile, ABC Transport has reminded investors that restrictions on insider trading remain active ahead of the publication of its third-quarter financial statement.

According to the company’s notice, the restriction will remain effective until 24 hours after the release of its unaudited results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026.

The notice was signed by Company Secretary Onwe C. Chigbo and issued from Owerri.
