The African Democratic Congress governorship candidate in Abia State, Kalu Kalu, has challenged Governor Alex Otti to identify a project executed by his administration in Ohafia Local Government Area.
Kalu, who is from Ohafia, made the challenge during a television interview, claiming that the local government had received more than 16 billion naira in allocations over the past three and a half years without a visible state government project.
The ADC candidate said he would withdraw from the 2027 governorship contest if a single project carried out by the Otti administration in Ohafia is identified and presented.
Kalu also alleged that communities in Ohafia have experienced prolonged electricity shortages. He said his administration, if elected, would focus on creating opportunities for young people and reducing the need for them to leave Abia in search of better prospects.
Governor Alex Otti and his administration’s response to the specific allegations was not included in the report. The claims therefore remain the position of the ADC candidate as the 2027 political contest continues to take shape in Abia State.
