Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has appointed former Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Enyinna Onuegbu, as Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Operations at the Government House.
Onuegbu is taking over from Sydney Emeka Agbor, who recently left the position to pursue his political ambition for the Oru West State Constituency seat in the Imo State House of Assembly. The change marks another adjustment in the governor’s administrative team.
The new Deputy Chief of Staff is returning to a strategic government role after serving in several positions under the Uzodimma administration. He previously headed the Ministries of Lands and Survey and Power, and also served as Chief Political Adviser and Head of the Political Bureau.
Before his latest appointment, Onuegbu was the immediate past Commissioner for Lands, where he handed over the ministry following his elevation to the Government House role. He also has previous experience in local government administration and party politics in Imo State.
Governor Uzodimma expects the new appointee to deploy his administrative experience and teamwork skills in his new assignment, in support of the administration’s Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Recovery agenda.
