Artists in Lagos are expected to gain greater exposure and access to potential buyers through an upcoming exhibition aimed at promoting creativity and expanding opportunities within the art industry.
The two-week exhibition, tagged “Creation Speaks,” will commence on October 15 and is expected to feature the works of close to 200 artists.
The initiative brings together the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David, and Fobally Art World Africa in an effort to create a platform where artists can showcase their talent while engaging with art enthusiasts and prospective collectors.
Organisers said the programme would go beyond an exhibition by creating avenues for artists to market their works, build professional relationships and develop sustainable opportunities in the creative sector.
Speaking during a media briefing in Lagos, Pastor Jide Aiyegbusi, National Elder of the RCCG and Chief Executive Officer of Saviorite Ventures Limited, said the project was conceived to communicate Christian values through visual art while giving creatives a platform to thrive.
The organisers added that the exhibition would contribute to building a stronger Christian art community through activities focused on sales, mentorship and engagement.
