The Abia State Police Command has intensified its crackdown on criminal activities after operatives raided a suspected criminal hideout in the Isuochi area, recovering two vehicles believed to be connected to alleged unlawful activities.
The operation followed intelligence received by the police about activities allegedly taking place at the location. During the raid, officers recovered a white Dodge and a red Toyota Camry, while a suspected cult member was also arrested.
Police authorities said the recovered vehicles have been taken into custody as investigations continue to determine their ownership and establish how they came to be at the location. The command is also working to identify other individuals who may be linked to the suspected criminal network.
The operation forms part of ongoing efforts by the Abia Police Command to disrupt criminal groups and prevent stolen vehicles from being used for further offences. Members of the public who may have information about the recovered vehicles are expected to assist investigators with relevant details.
The police command has also urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious movements or activities in their communities, as investigations into the latest operation continue.
