Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) has announced a funding opportunity worth up to ₦6 million for female entrepreneurs as part of activities marking its 25th anniversary.
The organisation disclosed the initiative during a media briefing in Lagos on Tuesday, where it also introduced the official logo for its silver jubilee celebration. Its 25th annual conference is scheduled to hold on November 5 and 6, 2026, at Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, under the theme, “Rooted, Rising, Ready: Born in Africa, Built for the World.”
The grant initiative, known as the 2026 WIMBIZ Impact Investment Opportunity, is designed to support promising women-led businesses operating in areas such as food and beverages, sustainability and innovation. Nigerian Bottling Company, Coca-Cola, Unilever and AllOn are supporting the programme, while First Bank continues its longstanding partnership with the organisation.
WIMBIZ has also introduced the AllOn Solar Challenge in collaboration with AllOn, through which two female business owners will receive fully installed solar power systems to strengthen their operations. Additional support planned for conference participants includes health assessments through IWOSAN and business advisory services in partnership with the Enterprise Development Centre of Pan-Atlantic University.
Chairperson of the WIMBIZ 25th Anniversary Committee, Awena Ajumogobia, said the milestone would celebrate the achievements of women whose careers and businesses had benefited from the organisation’s activities. She noted that limited access to funding remained a major obstacle for women entrepreneurs and disclosed that WIMBIZ was developing further measures to help women establish and expand their businesses. The organisation has built a network of more than 3,700 accomplished women and says its programmes have reached hundreds of thousands of women over the past 25 years.
