The Abia State Government has urged entrepreneurs, manufacturers, traders, professionals and other business owners in the state to participate actively in two major international trade and investment events scheduled to take place in Umuahia and Aba.
The events are the AFRICANDO 2026 U.S.-Africa Trade and Investment Conference/Expo and the Aba International Trade Fair and Exhibition, both expected to attract investors and business leaders from different parts of the world.
The Chief of Staff to the Abia State Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, said the programmes would create opportunities for local businesses to display their products and services, connect with investors, develop partnerships and gain access to wider markets.
According to him, more than 500 international participants, investors and business leaders from the United States, Europe, the Caribbean, Asia and other African countries have registered to attend.
Ajagba also called on Christian and Muslim leaders to mobilise their business communities, particularly entrepreneurs, manufacturers, farmers, professionals, artisans, women and youths, to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the events.
