Residents and political supporters in parts of Uturu, Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State, have turned out during Senator Orji Uzor Kalu’s ongoing consultation tour ahead of the 2027 senatorial election.
The engagement, held across three wards in the area, attracted community leaders, members of the All Progressives Congress and supporters of Kalu’s political movement. Despite heavy rainfall, residents gathered to receive the senator during his ward-to-ward consultations.
The meetings formed part of Kalu’s wider engagement with communities across Abia North as he seeks to consolidate support ahead of the 2027 election. The incumbent senator previously secured the APC ticket for the Abia North senatorial contest.
Supporters at the Uturu meetings expressed their backing for Kalu’s return to the Senate, while political stakeholders and community representatives also participated in the discussions.
The consultations are coming as political activities gradually intensify across Abia ahead of the 2027 elections, with aspirants and political parties increasingly engaging voters and grassroots structures.
