The women’s wing of the All Progressives Congress has stepped up its mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 presidential election, targeting 40 million votes for President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The group is strengthening its grassroots structures across the country as part of efforts to increase women’s participation and support for the party ahead of the poll.
Director of the APC Presidential Campaign Council’s Women Mobilisation Directorate, Betta Edu, said the organisation was expanding its network and engaging women at the community level.
She explained that the mobilisation strategy would involve sustained interaction with households and communities across the country.
The APC women’s directorate is also expected to intensify its activities as the 2027 election approaches, with women leaders and grassroots organisers playing key roles in the party’s mobilisation drive.
